Stories can change the world. Look throughout history and you will find stories that created movement and galvanized society. There are times when voices must rise up and come together. This unity is the driving force behind my first major self-published work.
I live just outside the city of Reading, Pennsylvania. It was named the poorest city in the United States in 2011. I’ve spent time in the city. I have friends who work in the hospital there, the local school district, and various social service agencies and outreach programs. Crime and poverty are daily realities. Even in the darkness, I believe Reading can be saved.
Glass Jar City is an upcoming collection of stories and interviews, available for download and in print, highlighting the efforts of those fighting the battle. It will be released with profits from book sales going directly to charities and service organizations inside the city. The tide is turning. At this important moment, unity and passion will drive Reading forward to a better a future.
Join me on a journey through the people and politics, struggles and hope, tragedy and triumph that makes this city of fighters rise every morning to do it again.
This is your chance to be a part of the movement and make a difference in the lives of those in need. Check out The Glass Jar City today.
